FAQs

By when should I RSVP?

To help us with our planning, please RSVP as soon as possible and no later than13th June 2025. RSVP page is linked here.

If we do not receive your RSVP by this date, we will have to regrettably assume you cannot attend as we need to finalise our final guest numbers with the venue.

Can I bring a plus one?

Due to space limitations, we can only accommodate guests who are formally invited. If you have received a plus one, they will be specifically addressed in the invitation. Otherwise, we kindly ask that only the named persons are in attendance. Thank you for your understanding.

Are children invited to the wedding?

As much as we love your little ones, the wedding is mainly a time for adults to let their hair down with the exception of the children in the wedding party.

Can I take photographs during the ceremony?

We ask that you kindly put your phones and cameras away during the ceremony as we want you all to be present with us in the moment and respect the religious ceremony. This is only for the duration of the ceremony, please feel free to snap away at all other times.

Will there be lunch service after the ceremony?

Yes! A finger buffet style brunch will be served after the ceremony. We know that like us, you would have been getting ready since the morning and nothing would pleasure us more than delighting you with the best food and music while we chat, catch up and take group photos.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes! There will be welcome drinks, light and refreshing cocktails and beers after the ceremony. The bar will operate in full swing during the evening drinks reception and we will serve wine during dinner with the open bar resuming during the dancing.

We want you to have the best time, so drinks are on us but the hangover is on you. Also, think about taking taxis back to hotels so you can imbibe freely.

Is it appropriate to wear a saree?

Yes, you can absolutely wear sarees even if you have never worn one before. If you need any assistance please get in touch with us.

Can I wear red to the wedding?

Yes, no problem. Just steer clear of white and for further details refer to the Dress Code page.

What is Black Tie attire?

Black tie is a formal dress code typically consisting of ladies wearing floor length formal dress, or saree and gentlemen donning dinner suits (aka tuxedos) and silk bow ties. If your family tailor has let you down last minute and you haven’t got enough time to organise a hire, don’t stress, just wear formal suit.

Will taxis be organised by the venue?

No. Please kindly take care to arrange your own taxis. Ubers are around, but far and few between. Useful information is provided in the Logistics page with details of local taxi services.

What should I do during the post brunch recess?

You can spend this time however you want. We kindly request that you vacate West Horsley so that the space can be prepared for the evening. You can return to your hotels for a little rest and change of clothes. If you had not already checked into your hotel, this is also the opportunity to do so. If you just want to keep the merry-making going and can’t bare to go back to your hotel rooms, we have compiled a whole list of activities you can do in and around the area. Please check out the Area Guide page.

Can I bring my pet?

Unfortunately, you’ll have to leave your fur babies home with a sitter. The venue does not allow pets during events and we’d want your pets to be comfortable in the familiar surroundings of your homes.

What time is the ceremony and what time should I arrive?

We kindly request that you arrive at 10.30 am and onwards. The ceremony is at11.30 am and will start promptly. We will have welcome drinks and entertainment so please do treat 10.30 am arrival time as a formal start time. Order of the Day page will give you a full run down of the day’s proceedings.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes! There’s plenty of parking in the designated car park. There is no valet parking. Vehicles left overnight will be left at your own discretion. There is no venue provided security. Please note, from the car park you will have to make your way to the venue on foot. This is about a 2 minute walk. Please take a look at the illustrated map on the Venue page.

Can I smoke?

Unfortunately, the venue operates a no smoking policy everywhere on the premises due to its Grade I nature and ecology. We kindly request that you respect the house rules and refrain from smoking cigarettes, cigars and/or any other legal, illegal substances.

Please also kindly refrain from smoking e-cigarettes inside the manor house.

Can I choose my dinner menu?

Most certainly! Wedding breakfast, which will be served at dinner on our big day, will be formal dining, thus, plated service. We absolutely want you to decide what you have and once you have RSVPed ‘attending’ we will send you your dinner options to select. This is what will be served to you on the day and will have your individual menus printed to remind you.

Is there space for me to change at the venue?

There are lavatories and if need be these can be used. However, we recommend that you book local hotels for overnight stays and change of clothes during recess. Useful information can be found on the Logistics page.
